The Positive Death
19 March 2012, Age 16
“Let’s put some perspective on life here… you are going to die. Not just you, but everyone. Look around, everyone you ever see has this same fate, death. Yet this fate occurs at all different times, for some, they have only taken three breaths, for others, they have lived till 96 years of age. There is not telling when this fate will befall you, there’s only telling that at some time or other, it will. This is not meant to be a negative thought, although most people view it as one, it can actually be quite comforting at times. I’d rather view it as scary than negative, in the fact that you only have one life to form and mold yourself into the person you are going to be. Most people don’t view life this way, they take it for granted and don’t realize until the end of their lives that they wasted precious years of knowledge, learning and experiences. They gained nothing from the “pleasure” or “Joy” they thought they had in those years of so called “Fun”. They simply ended up in a lose-lose situation; because not only did they not gain anything, but they lost everything good that could have happened. If they would have been intelligent and weighed and measured their options and decisions and how it would affect their future and the rest of their lives. This is where the positive death comes in, because if you are reading this, you are obviously still alive, and so it’s not too late for you to recognize what I just pointed out and realize that maybe you need to make some changes in your life so that you can fulfill your potential and live your life to its fullest. So that you can start looking back with no regrets. It’s never too late to begin a new outlook and get a new perspective on life.”
